Long Weekend
The lawns have not yet parched. Bird’s-foot trefoil dots them with splashes of buttery yellow. Look closer and you’ll see low creeping clover and the delicate pink of field madder. The quince fruits are young and fine-haired; the figs will ripen when we’re long gone.
