the lake holds clouds it cannot keep shifting breaking apart sky untethered shapes dissolve into shimmer time drifts like the wind fleeting yet steady water slips into stone smooths the silence a surface trembling with the pull of reflection all fades yet all stays
under frost
the first green tendrils
finding my place
in the soft depth
of restless ground
