White stones glint among fallen oak leaves, outlining a woodland labyrinth. At its heart—the turning point—a bed of moss cradles pine cones, pieces of rose quartz, and a milky, multi-faceted crystal. The bleached shell of a lightning whelk and a pebble studded with barnacles. A dark, polished sphere of stone like a dappled map of stars. The worn-down molar of a mastodon.
