Apparitions

To the old-timers, her Saab appeared incongruous on the dirt road by her one-room cabin in the woods. As she and her corazón were driving home, a towering moose appeared stock-still in the riddle of their way. They got out of her car with no intention other than to be there. The massive and majestic bull moose tilted his full rack back and vanished. They stood almost stock-still, searching in all manner of ways. They sensed not a snapped twig, nor newly pressed undergrowth, no unusual vibrations, nor heavy-weighted tracks. There was nothing there bar their wild heartbeats.
