Jukeboxes and Gumball Machines

It’s what we do, from birth to death. There’s no quick fix. There’s just lifelong work.

For me this is very significant to acknowledge to myself, and also it is kind of melancholic, factual and hopeful.

The undulating moon
throbs in my throat,
a nightlong rain:
it has softened
the earth, the grass.
