every night
we fall down a hole where all the other animals live, sometimes deep, sometimes not
what’s down there doesn’t need any explanation
every morning we climb out and try to make sense of it anyway
what’s special about us is that we think we can, and can pass it along to others
in a tent in the rain i become a climate

This blows me away! Fantastic writing.
Beautiful piece, Jim. Nice to see how well a didactic piece can work. Not many can pull it off. Cheers, Ray
