In Search of Solace

Our task must be to free ourselves from our prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all humanity and the whole of nature in its beauty.
                    –Albert Einstein

For a moment I feel life is a poem, music its journey. The mountain speaks in the language of silence, the meandering river plants brightness of smiles, the forest spreads its richness with the songs of birds, the moonlit wave radiates its urge for love, and the sky caresses the twinkling stars . . .

The spirit of oneness, the swirling of the tender leaves, and the morning glory of the verdant village land:  I feel as if I dwell in the music of poetry.

Solemnly I pen these lines as a tribute to Einstein . . .

we can draft an atlas
reciting the anthem of unity
to pour rains of hope
we can endure living merrily
like the trees residing side by side
