You again! The way you always hit me with the accuracy of a forensic scientist and the subtlety of a sledgehammer. Hiding in plain sight you invade and occupy my mind until the unavoidable breakdown occurs, but I can fight you with chemicals and willpower.
To learn that I am not alone is so far the most valuable information. I know you by many names and one day I will send you on your way and hope you will never return.

Tom Staudt lives in Sydney, Australia. He moved to Sydney from Germany in 2002. He writes mainly Japanese poetry and has been published in several online journals. He has also written short stories, two of which have been published in a short story collection called Phoenix Ink.
