For the first time, I am going to the country fair without you. Even though every ride reminds me of you—of you and me together. I get on each one as if I were a child again. In the ups and downs, a strange sensation runs through me. One way or another, the roller coaster, carousel, and Ferris wheel continue to go round and round.
