I live on a mountaintop in the south where wintertime brings day after day of fog. But there are rare mornings when I wake up to a brilliant blue sky. It isn’t that the fog has cleared. It has settled into the valley below, leaving us high-ground folks looking out over a softly rolling white ocean, sunshine on our backs. . .
