Hydrangeas
Fashions fade by definition, then reappear a generation later. Think flared jeans, mullet haircuts, and sticky date pudding. Give it 20 years and rejuvenate your favourites as a bold statement of progress. The young will claim it as new. The old will feel amused. The ancient will feel nostalgic. Perhaps then I am bordering on ancient.
this morning I picked three hydrangeas
and placed them
in my mother's Wedgewood vase . . .
