I must try to organize my thoughts, to have some way to know one day from the last and the next, to distinguish what i know to be real from fantasy, to keep what is unique and essential of me, my I, from dissolving into the nothingness of days of slatted light and shadow, or else go crazy like all the rest, if that hasn’t already happened.
