Strange really. Though not a vegetarian, I’m not much of a meat-eater either. But there are times, stressed or below par, when all the ethical good-for-me stuff just doesn’t hit the spot. Times when I need to sink what’s left of my teeth into a juicy burger oozing with grease and tomato ketchup.

Susan King is a retired librarian happily living by the sea in North Wales, U.K. Her interest in Japanese short-form poetry began in 2002 when she discovered haiku. More recently she has ventured into haibun, and has had work published in Akitsu, Blithe Spirit, Haiku Journal, Presence, Time Haiku, and contemporary haibun online.
