The wind tangoes with the flaming red gulmohar, the neighbouring leaves clapping and shivering to the beat. The clouds, unmoved by this wild passion, slink away, taking the rain with them.

Another night of broken promises.

About the Author

Baisali Chatterjee Dutt is a domesticated nomad who writes, edits, dabbles in theatre and teaches. She also eats chocolate by the bucketful and gazes at clouds while trying to mother two teen boys.
