She tells me that the apple varieties we find in stores don’t grow from seeds. They’re the product of grafts from one tree to another. Plant the seed from a Golden Delicious and the tree that grows won’t produce Golden Delicious apples. They might be inedible, they might be incredible, but they won’t be the same.
