Rick Rack

My mother taught me how to sew. It was the early 60s and we adorned everything we made with rick rack. It was tricky, because you had to sew in a straight line even though the rick rack was wavy. I haven’t seen rick rack in decades. Where did it go?

a path
crooked or not

  1. I love this! It is so true! Thanks for sharing g.

I may have some tick rack in the deep dark of my sewing box. bBack when I was young , it came in those little packets covered with cellophane. The tick rack was wound around a small piece of thin cardboard. 😀

I also remember rick rack and haven’t seen it in what seems like decades.

    Great material! Very nostalgic.
