Mona Bedi
Breathless
On a mountain trek we walk slowly behind one another. The steep terrain is challenging. We are breathless and plan to take a break. Sitting on a rock, we start talking about our homes. Amongst us youngsters is a 65 year old woman. She has been quiet throughout, but now opens up about her family. She shares that she is a widow and after her husband’s passing she started following her passion of mountain climbing. As she talks about him, there is a smile on her lips and passion in her eyes.
