Fire trucks drown the sound of thunder to the south and lightning flashes trace the track of the storm.
Wrapped in a blanket I stand outside watching the apartment burn, water streaming in the windows, flames licking the night. Forgetting to breathe till my chest hurts, I take a breath, remembering.
