We met on an app. Some stroke of luck and anomaly caused my distance filter to fail that night, showing me a beautiful man three thousand miles away. His neighbor has a Confederate flag, and he sleeps with a gun under his mattress. We keep the blinds drawn when I go visit him, the mobile home cocooning our love like a forbidden butterfly.
