Gavin Austin
Fleeting
The sky blushes. Shimmering water calms to reflect twilight colours, as it embraces the pier’s barnacled pylons. In the gentle breeze tousling our hair, tethered yachts rhythmically roll; masts clink. I shyly smile as your eyes find mine.
Streetlamps glow in their dark corners; the scent of jasmine trails into night. Upon a brooding aubergine sky, the thumbnail moon leaves its scar.
