Vinay Leo R.
Card Castles
I open my eyes, and he’s there, sitting by my side. He’s reading a book, but I can’t quite see which one. He’s handsome, and I can’t help but feel I know him from somewhere. Only when the nurse brings me the tray of dry roti with dal does he realize that I’m awake. She points at him, says he’s my grandson, and asks me if I remember. And I laugh, quickly, and say of course I do.
a spider hangs from the ceiling everyday I build my old home again
