Glowsticks flare competing with the rhythmic firing of lasers’ rainbow shower. The band saunters onto the stage and the drummer beats 4 /4 time; the guitarist plucks a riff at a 1990s cybergoth and emo party.

at the rage
boys and girls
gyrating . . .
fluoro-coloured bodies
snared in a rhythmic beat
