The Weekend

The Scouts are all teenagers now and they kept us adults busy. There was copious swearing, rowdy football, and peeing behind redwoods.

On the trip home, the dense fog lifted and we stopped at Pomponio Beach along Highway One. The boys built a Minecraft fort before wading into the water. When the frigid waves crashed over them, they’d body surf back to the shallows, screaming in delight.
