Mona Bedi
Dazed
Lately I have been cribbing about the lack of love in my life… our lives. Thirty-five years, two children and a granddaughter later, I feel the lovelessness. It’s just work and the phone for my husband. In spite of my sleeping pills I don’t sleep well. Today, like the many other days, I slowly get ready for work. Once in the office, I stroll around, thoughtful. Suddenly I miss a step and then wham!!! I am flat on the ground. I gradually regain my senses. A coworker calls my husband. By the time I am up on my feet my husband is there. He is worried as hell. He lifts me up and takes me to the doctor. He gives me painkillers.
By evening I am back home with a sprain and a husband I love.
