I have always admired the female cardinal. Not as flashy as it’s male counterpart, the female cardinal lures you in. Drawing your gaze into the thicket. From branch to branch, she makes you watch her every movement for a hint of that beauty you know she has but don’t always see. Her warm earthy tones with gently reddened crest and breast… and then, in a flash, she is gone.
