No one in this coastal town knows how the girl in the red dress ended up in the water last winter. Some say she drowned herself. Others say she was murdered. If only she would stop whispering long enough for me to ask.
on the seawall
a fisherman drapes night
around his shoulders
slivers of cold moon
dangle from string
