3 AM

I dream I’m a child again. Playing hide and seek. And staying hidden. The dream has become a nightmare – the game has ended, and they’ve forgotten about me. I wake up terrified, with the fear of abandonment, the fear of being unimportant, of being unmissed. Moonlight floods the room as I reach for my phone.

with the world
at my fingertips
I 'love'
their posts – these 'friends'
who are complete strangers
