The Bay
The narrow beach is all mine, because the other kids have been told the water will make them glow in the dark and not in a good way, since everyone knows that the oil refineries ringing the bay dump their waste into it, an easy-peasy way to get rid of what you don’t want, like shifting your spinach to under your plate until Mom leaves the kitchen and you can lose it in the trash, unlike with the bay, which is shallow and has a narrow inlet, so that what goes in tends to stay in.
