One very expensive breathable pumpkin-yellow, sealed-seams rain jacket later; one each black, side-zipping, waterproof pair of pants, orange-striped lid, mud fenders, cheap bell, and burglar-proof lock later, the husband who has observed that in the past I’ve lost my zip for putt-putt golf, clog dancing, lap swimming, and even Yoga, worries I may not ride enough my new soft-seated Jamis Citizen 2 with its cut-through frame we’ve discovered takes a special steel bar fitted between seat and handlebar so the said Jamis Citizen 2 itself can be attached to our Mazda’s new $750 hitch and three-position rack we’ve learned by hit-and-not miss cannot be pulled down into our below-street level carport for loading.
