Adelaide B. Shaw Lab Test Year old magazines of limited interest and yesterday's news. The television tuned to a soap opera. All the chairs occupied. Faces resigned to long waiting. Should I complain, protest that it's 40 minutes past my appointment? For what purpose? I would still have to wait, but maybe to release some frustration. The wait, the unfamiliarity of the test, the uncertainty of the result—good, bad, or worse. . .inconclusive, producing a "wait and see" attitude from the doctors. Better to know, I think, and treat the problem, if a problem there is, than to be suspended in limbo. premature cold black clouds send flurries on half the street |
