Finding Herself, If Only for a Moment

After a hard night partying, Jess Youngblood stumbles into a random diner and finds herself back in her hometown some hundred miles away. No, really, there she is, in the back corner, sipping coffee and scribbling poetry in a ratty notebook before school. So Jess heads back there, slides into the booth and starts regaling her younger self with tales of life in the city. Her younger self, to her credit, doesn't believe a word of it, having learned from her aunt's weird friends long ago never to interrupt a stranger who won't stop talking.
