John Budan

Reunion

I get lost trying to find the high school across town from my motel. So much has changed in sixty years. On the thousand-mile drive, I reflected on those years; how I had no friends and how nobody clapped for me as I received the diploma. I sit in the parking lot with my car windows open listening to the loud rock and roll music. Everyone seems to be having a good time.

old memories
the loneliness
of laughter
