An old man watches couples cuddling in their pedal boats as the sun sets. His attention soon turns to those strolling by him hand in hand, who laugh as if they’d invented romance. Sitting alone on a wooden bench, he wonders why he’s never managed to find his soul mate. The thought of having to witness the same scene tomorrow makes him spit in disgust.
