County Fair

We sit around eating blueberry pie and drinking coffee in the middle of the afternoon: a couple of artists, a musician who writes his own lyrics, a sign language interpreter, a bookstore owner and his wife who has a law degree but has yet to practice law. I teach junior high literature. The word teach strikes me as presumptuous I tell the group; after all, I am the one who is learning.
