The growth of saplings
As it twists and turns in a gusting wind, the late spring foliage appears to beckon, “Come this way . . . bend with the breeze”. Should I heed it? Head out of town? I take a sip from my steaming mug. Its misty trail leads in an altogether different direction. Back, towards the office. Dare I run late for once? A melting marshmallow mirrors my resolve. Without relish, I gulp down the rest of the hot chocolate, turn up my collar and step out into a light shower.
