Some people keep going by reading, some by drinking, some by watching TV round the clock but this man keeps going by up and out and walking walking walking

on and on along the main road past the road work signs the frequent pits in the paving down through the path in the recreation ground out into the pedestrianised high street the shopping precinct past the café the restaurant the travel lodge on and on round the corner past the car park

new ginko leaves
a primordial dance
of tiny fans

litter bins spilling over up the quiet residential road into the alleyway behind the supermarket on and on until the garage over the crossing walking walking walking
