Repotting

New Year’s Day. My family have been staying for a week over the Christmas holidays. Today they've been helping me in the garden repotting plants that have been stored in the shade of trees while the house was being renovated. One of the plants is an orchid that I bought thirty years ago after the death of my son Tim. It produces golden-yellow blooms in October, the month of his birth. The plant looks healthy after its sojourn in its dark, damp environment. We separated its bole and re-potted it into four new containers.
