The Nainital Pond

I walk amidst the oak trees, unnerved by the strange idea that they can feel my thoughts. There is a tiny pond nearby and I see a sporadic group hovering around with disappointed faces. My tour guide tells me that only those with uninhibited honest thoughts can see their reflection in the pond. So far, no human face has been reflected. I bend down eagerly to the transparent cold water.
