Hannah

A day before high school graduation my niece Hannah posed for pictures, decked out in a long, flowered gown, ready for her senior prom. Her date arrived in a powerful, eight cylinder Ford Mustang, borrowed from a friend. After the dance, 1 pm, a light rain coating the back country roads with a silvery glaze. Driving at high speed, a slight hump in the road, the sudden curve, a piercing shriek, the telephone pole.
