Morning Routine
I turn on both cell phones, take portable phones from the charger and set them by his keyboard, put away dishes from the dishwasher, run water then fill his glass and set it on the table next to his pills and eye drops, cut fruit for him and eat a slice of banana take my own pills, meditate, get out weights and bands and do calisthenics, listen for the weather amidst a chatter of fund raising, put in his eye drops, kiss his brown bare head shining in the sunlight part African part Indian part preacher dreamer at all times all of me my husband sitting in sunlight by the bed wearing a blue and white polka dot robe.
