Banana
She eats a banana sideways like corn on the cob. Her hair always falls into place. When she saw a picture of Ganesh she said ‘Oh, there's God’s friend.’ One of her doodles she called a line dancing along with a dragon. Once she looked to the sky and saw a cross of aeroplane contrails: ‘God’s kiss,’ she said. Her blue eyes could crumble castles. I never taught her any of this and now I have to give part of her up.
