Marjorie A Buettner
60th Birthday
My 60th birthday comes and goes without fanfare. I take in the house plants from outside, water and wash their leaves and the house is once again a jungle. I can't help but think of my mother, dead 8 years now, with grandchildren at my age to spoil. No grandchildren for me, no mother or father, no brother or sister living near by, and my children seem so far away. When 60, the world becomes smaller and larger at the very same time.
