The Whale

They once paid for your custom, the frozen bow of the 'Mary Jane' a vantage point for your awesomeness, smooth in your blue freedom gliding, cameras click-clicking, beauty on show.

Oohs and aahs of love abounding.

Now a generation later and oohs and aahs of sadness shows, your splendour now a carcass on a lonely Norfolk beach

crabs absorbing sap
from gentle eyes asleep
the first snow falling
