Well Look at All of These

I recently decided to figure out the when and where, and the why and how of what started me to be me. What were the seeds, the soil, the light and rain of my early life? The Great Depression: my parents quit high school first year: life was hard on their teenage union. I arrived to share a small, no AC, unheated loft.  Thus, my when and where. Visiting the house’s remains recently, I recalled a trunk in my corner of our loft.  Grandmother had left it after Granddad’s cuckolded and Depression-caused suicide. For years, I consumed its contents: art & ideas, history & science, life & death, and adventure!  The box was full of books – and thus my what and how.
