Lewy Body Disease

My poor mother suffered it all cold turkey. We visited with her yesterday afternoon. I blended up some pears which she is able to swallow without choking. She still is drinking out of a cup so that helps a bit. What a horrible way to go, though. I love her so much that I will probably not ever be able to visit without crying after we leave. Sometimes, i get tears in my eyes while talking with her or feeding her. She knows what is going on I can tell by her eyes. She also nods or shakes her head, and, once in awhile, can get some words out. Mostly it comes out garbled which she also realizes.
