Adelaide Shaw
Little Boy Alone
He dumps a bag of plastic soldiers on the grass. Sets them up. Green here, brown there. Lying prone, he moves them this way and that, knocking down some, repositioning others. In a loud whisper or shout, he simulates sounds of battle. Zitz. Zitz. Bang! WHAM! A sweep of his hand, and all the soldiers are flattened.
With slow movements he stands and walks away.
