Swept Away

When news of the impending hurricane reached us, the entire community — including my family — evacuated the area. I, however, chose to stay. I've always been daring, and the opportunity to witness the power of nature in all its raw fury was just too much to resist.

And now, I rue that foolish decision with all my heart and soul. The hurricane swept me away.

I know I can't survive much longer. I only hope that my battered, torn body will be returned home when I die.
