Garden Party
On a walk through Mrs. Dailey’s garden, irises summon exclamations and tiger lilies do not lack admirers.
Mrs. Able, without equivocation, declares Miss Favor – at forty-something, the junior member of this party – absolutely stunning in her darling waist-cut jacket with frills. Abigail and Greta, the fifty-plus nieces of Mrs. Able, concur while Mrs. Dailey, again, inquires about Miss Favor’s handsome, new neighbor.

The party circles back to their host’s patio, dainty hors d’oeurves, sun tea and Miss Favor’s elegant evasions.
