Feel summer air breathe its warmth on your skin. Birdsong, perfect blend of melodies, all around. An easy flow of distant voices.

dandelions—
all the paving slabs
move apart

Keep walking through this busy car park where sunbursts light every drop of water in a puddle. A dazzle of light reflecting light all the way out to the edges of the universe and beyond. Fire dancing with water. The utter beauty of this moment.

sunbeam
a whole world shines
through a laughing child's eyes

Climb stone steps, push open a glass-paneled door, follow directions and sit down.

waiting room
she talks about the friend
who lived eight weeks
