Forgiveness

The argument begins in the car on the way to town.  Harsh words crescendo until there is nothing left to say.  Fights are rare these days after so many years, but when they happen, they are extraordinary, like fireworks on a summer night.  Exposing hidden things.  Lighting corners covered with dust.
